Like every year, Apple is setting up a special operation in view of Earth Day on April 22. Several initiatives will be on the agenda, starting with the payment to the WWF of $1 on each purchase made with Apple Pay on the online Apple Store, in the Apple Store app and in physical stores, starting of today. In 2021, the partner organization had been the NGO Conservation International.
This operation, announced in an email sent to US users of Apple Pay, will most likely be accompanied by other actions. Last year, there was a documentary on Apple TV+, the highlighting of content in Apple’s various applications (Books, Podcasts, Apple Music, etc.), and the usual “green t-shirt” operation for Apple Store employees.
The manufacturer did not wait to draw its Apple Watch trophy for the occasion. And let’s not forget the publication of the annual report on the environmental impact of the company and its subcontractors:
