Europe 1, official radio station of Roland-Garros, sets to the hour of the fortnight


Europe 1, the official radio station of Roland-Garros, is once again associated with this unmissable international sporting event. From May 22 to June 5, 2022, listeners will live to the rhythm of the competition, thanks to a special device and programs offered from the Porte d’Auteuil.

During this sports fortnight of the French Open tennis tournament, Europe 1, partner of the event, brings the competition to life live from the legendary Porte d’Auteuil stadium. The listeners have an appointment every day with Axel May, Jean-Francois Peres and Cedric Hunter for points every hour on the competition, as well as during the midday and evening editions.

  • Europe Morning – Dimitri Pavlenko – 6h30-9h:

Monday, May 23, listeners will find Dimitri Pavlenko for a special morning live from the competition. At 6:10 a.m., Axel May will speak with the young Spanish prodigy Carlos Alcaraz.

Every morning, the journalist Virginie Phulphin will deliver his “sports editorial” at 7:20 a.m. At 8:30 a.m., Europe 1 will offer the “Roland-Garros newspaper” in the company of Axel May and Cédric Chasseur at 7.30 a.m. on weekends. The opportunity to review sports news and the performances or disappointments of the day before before looking forward to the matches of the day.

On May 30 and 31 and June 2, Elisabeth Assayag will take listeners behind the scenes of the tournament, for three live broadcasts devoted to the economic environment of tennis.
