As part of season 2 chapter 3 of Fortnite, many upheavals have taken place. The title welcomed a new game mechanic, even though other, older ones have been removed, like the game’s emblematic construction system. If we are used to seeing new things appear in Fortnite, such as characters from very popular universes, for example, these additions rarely have an impact on the way players play. However, one of the latest features has the potential drastically change the gameplay of the game.

The new mechanics of “Mantling” (“Escalade” in French) has just arrived on Fortnite. It allows players to easily and quickly climb walls. This feature was introduced in the game to allow you to gain some height. It would seem that the “Mantling” was rather well received by players.

In a recent video focusing on the changes brought by this season 2, the youtubeur SoaR Milo tried various maneuvers in order to confirm or refute the rumors around the game. In one of his experiments, the videographer proved that the mechanics “Mantling” was going to bring a considerable advantage to the players.

By jumping from the top of a building, SoaR Milo showed that the “Mantling” allowed to suffer no damage on a fall. In his video, the youtubeur takes care to specify that it is necessary activate the feature at the right time for the maneuver to work properly.

At present, it is unknown if this unexpected effect was desired by the game’s developers. At first glance, it would appear that this is not the case. The functionality should then be corrected shortly by Epic Games. However, nothing prevents you from trying this trick, before it becomes obsolete.
