Alex Kipman, a prominent company executive Microsoftwas recently forced out of his post following multiple accusations of “inappropriate behavior” at his place of work. The man worked for almost 21 years in this company, and must leave his post today after numerous complaints accusing him of to sexually harass several of its employees.

A new case of sexual harassment

Alex Kipman is one of Microsoft’s big shots. In the video game industry, the project manager is known to have taken care the development of the Kinect motion detection accessory, then, later, the creation of the HoloLens mixed reality headset.

But behind the scenes of these technological innovations hid, in fact, a much less glorious reality. Internally, Alex Kipman is accused of creating a bad working climate with the people around him. Some even accuse him of having inappropriate behavior towards female colleagues who would work alongside him.

A former Microsoft executive, who collaborated with Kipman on a project, says he would have seen it rubbing a woman’s shoulders when she seemed uncomfortable facing the situation. After this employee tried to make him understand that she wanted him to stop, Kipman allegedly continued his actions.

This is probably not an isolated act. In effect, more than 25 employees have already filed a case against him and filed a complaint for similar actions. The leaders of the brand seemed on their side well aware of the situation. According to three sources, they would have tried to warn the employees not to leave women alone in his company.

And that’s not all, this is only part of the facts that are resurfacing today. In addition to all these things that he is accused of, Alex Kipman would also be accused to encourage a mode of operation that would reduce the contribution of women in the company.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t stop there… Another employee decided to bring new elements to the attention of the public. He chose to describe the course of a scene that particularly shocked him. In the offices, Alex Kipman would have had fun to launch obscene videos in virtual reality, illustrating women in small outfits having an ultra-sexualized pillow fight. The headset was plugged into a television at the time, leaving its contents in plain sight.

Alex Kipman did not wish to react to his numerous accusations. His departure was the subject of an email stating that he and Scott Guthrie, vice president of Cloud and AI for the group, had decided together that this was the right time for the executive to continue his career elsewhere. The leader also did not comment on the charges against Kipman.
