What if the Apple Car arrived in 2025? This is what the generally well-informed Ming-Chi Kuo suggests on his Twitter account. In a brief message, he explains that the team dealing with the project has been disbanded ” for some time » and that it must be reorganized to reach « the mass production target of 2025 “. This change should be made within 3 to 6 months or risk missing the boat, says the analyst.
The Apple Car project team has been dissolved for some time. The reorganization within the next three to six months is necessary to achieve the goal of mass production by 2025.

Last summer, Apple’s vice president of technology Kevin Lynch joined Project Titan. He previously handled the software side of the Apple Watch, and reportedly pushed teams to work on a fully autonomous car system. In November, Mark Gurman explained that Apple would have set itself the goal of developing the technology by 2025. The date therefore corresponds well to that put forward by Kuo.
Apple hired several engineers last year, including one who worked on driving systems at Porsche and Mercedes. The company was also looking for an engineer specialized in radars. Next to that, negotiations between Apple and several manufacturers of batteries intended for electric cars would have failed according to sources familiar with the matter, while several project managers have jumped ship to go to Meta or Volkswagen.
