Ming-Chi Kuo: new design but old chip for the next MacBook Air

Between the Mac Studio and the fine screen, it can’t be said that Apple made fun of Mac fans during its Peek Performance event. But you know them, Mac users are as nice as they are insatiable, and they always want more! The year 2022 should be very sweet for them with a lot of new features in the manufacturer’s pipes, like the expected major overhaul of the MacBook Air.

Ming-Chi Kuo, who has decided to make Twitter his new playground, went into a little detail about what we could expect. Surprise, while we were waiting for an M2 under the hood, it’s an M1 chip that would power the future consumer laptop. The analyst is also planning an all-new design – which is already rumored – with new colorways, but no mini-LED display in sight as expected. Volume production is expected to begin in the second or third quarter.
