Pixelmator Pro 3.0 adds templates and simplifies image integration

How to enrich an already quite complete image editor? By adding many ready-to-use templates. This is the whole point of version 3.0 of Pixelmator Pro: this Mac application now includes more than 200 models allowing you to have a good base for making all kinds of creations.

There are templates designed specifically for social networks (Story, Facebook cover, profile picture, etc.), others for prints and still others for CVs. All these templates are fully customizable. The publisher promises even more models in future updates.

Pixelmator Pro 3.0 models

To simplify the customization of creations, Pixelmator Pro 3.0 introduces a feature that automatically integrates custom images in the best possible way. Smart Replace takes care of removing the background of the image to be added, increasing its definition if necessary and placing it in the best place.

Our tests proved to be conclusive, the new functionality really chews the work when integrating external elements into the compositions. Smart Replace can make a few mistakes, like a small part of the background that was not erased next to the leg in the example below, but these can then be fixed manually. We have to work a little, all the same.

Replacing an image on a template

Always with the aim of customizing the models as easily as possible, Pixelmator Pro 3.0 makes it easy to change their different colors using palettes.

The update will be available today and will be free for those who already own the application. Otherwise, Pixelmator Pro 3.0 costs €39.99, an almost given price given all the qualities of the software and the updates that follow one another. A free 15-day trial version is available on the publisher’s website.
