Tears of the Kingdom: this dragon was hiding in the trailer for the next Zelda, but you probably missed it

This Tuesday, September 13, during a Nintendo Direct, the Japanese publisher unveiled a new trailer for the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. A new release date for this expected game, whose exact title is Tears of the Kingdom. An information-packed trailer that did have a dragon, but did you find it?

Nintendo game trailers are sometimes cryptic. Full of details, they sometimes require several viewings to reveal all the mysteries. And in the case of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there are many details. Between the new unpublished area, the new game mechanics and the references to Breath of the Wildit is easy not to be able to find everything at once. Especially since some details are well camouflaged.

From the fortieth second of this new trailer, Link opens two huge doors before rushing through a still new area. An aerial zone that players will be able to discover on May 12, on Nintendo Switch. And at the 49th/50th second, precisely, it is possible to see, in the background, the tail of a dragon. A quick sequence that should be analyzed carefully to locate said tail. A reptile located at the top left of the screen, behind the two huge floating rocks.

According to the most attentive, it would be Naydra, one of the three dragons of Breath of the Wild. More specifically, it is the dragon victim of Ganon’s corruption, which must be freed to obtain the various materials. An ice dragon who seems here to have regained the hair of the beast. And if Naydra is in the game, it’s a safe bet that Dinraal and Farosh are also present in the game.
