The world No. 1 in tennis, whose vaccination status is unknown and who had obtained a medical exemption, filed an appeal against his expulsion.
World tennis number one Novak Djokovic has filed a lawsuit against Australian authorities’ decision to cancel his visa and expel him from the country, court officials said on Thursday. Melbourne judge Anthony Kelly will examine at 4:00 p.m. (05:00 GMT) the Serbian’s request, detained by immigration services in Melbourne since arriving in the country on Wednesday evening with the intention of competing in the Australian Open .
