The Apple Developers Conference next week could be the occasion for a launch of the MacBook Air with M2 processor, estimates Mark Gurman in his newsletter of the weekend.

In addition to the developments planned for the various operating systems of the brand, Apple would aim to present the new laptop during this major meeting.

A deep revision is to be hoped for since for months this MacBook Air has been described as borrowing from the design of the MacBook Pro – with an additional color palette – and embedding an M2 chip for the first time.

If there is material at WWDC, it will probably be on the Mac side. Apple aimed to launch the next MacBook Air with an M2 chip at the conference. The recent supply chain crisis due to Covid-related shutdowns in China has complicated matters, but developers are observing that Apple employees are increasingly using next-generation MacBook Airs with their apps. It’s a sign that the new Mac is near.

Another hardware option is the curtain raiser on the augmented reality headset, but it wouldn’t be there yet, despite a recent presentation of this product to members of Apple’s board of directors.
