If I had been asked in January what my hopes were for 2022, I certainly wouldn’t have crossed my fingers for a reboot of 2020. And yet, here I am confined to my small apartment, writing a column… on confinement.


Indeed, while France is timidly rediscovering pre-Covid life, China is facing its highest peak of contamination since the start of the epidemic and continues to cling to its zero Covid strategy. In practice, this means testing the population with all your might (daily if necessary), isolating entire cities and trying to identify the chains of transmission of an increasingly contagious virus.
