Nintendo just announced the return of a cult game to the Nintendo Switch Online library. The firm has just declared that the next game to join the library will be a huge classic of the saga. Zelda, originally released for the Nintendo 64.
The saga Zelda : a cult license
Since 1986 and the release of the very first opus of the saga on the NES console, The Legend of Zelda , 19 video games were then officially released. Produced by Nintendo, the Zelda story is created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. The narrative is often the same and focuses on Link’s quest to free the kingdom of Hyrule and its princess Zelda from the clutches of the evil lord Ganon.
The Legend of Zelda stands as a flagship Nintendo saga alongside mario and Pokemon. In 2018, the license included 94.73 million games sold worldwide. As for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the game entered the Guinness World Records as the fastest-selling game of all time, either 6 million units in eight weeks.
The return of Majora’s Mask
Nintendo just announced that the next game to join the Nintendo Switch Online library will be The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. A cult opus of the license, originally released in 2000 for the Nintendo 64. The game will therefore be accessible for those who have the Switch expansion pack and a subscription to Switch Online.
Majora’s Mask thus joined The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, already available on the service. This new announcement follows yesterday’s statement, which stated that Banjo-Kazooie also happened for expansion pack subscribers. Absolutely perfect news for fans of the saga Zelda, who will be able to replay a great classic: Majora’s Mask.
